During this period of uncertainty, the Taxpro Australia team believes it is of the upmost importance to stay kind to one another and be considerate of other people’s health and safety. On a day-to-day basis, while we wait for further advice from the Government, it is important to limit the potential spread of the virus by putting all precautions in place to safeguard the wellbeing of our team and clients. There are some immediate changes we are making to our routine in the office, and we are putting plans forward to modify our business as this situation intensifies.

Limiting social interactions and encouraging social distancing

Instead of having face-to-face meetings, we prefer a conference call, skype or phone call – just let us know what suits you. Our business also does allow staff to work from home, however we are not working from home at the moment. In the future, if this is required, Taxpro services will continue as usual just from our home offices. One of the key things is to stop handshakes and to ensure that the team and any visitors/clients engage in hand washing by making sure there is soap and hand sanitiser available.

Increase office/premises cleaning routines

It is so important to disinfect all shared surfaces. It is thought the virus can live for a number of hours on surfaces so this is happening throughout the day. Surfaces that are touched regularly by everyone include door handles,  lift buttons, kitchen doors, taps, mugs, coffee machines, keyboards and telephones.

All staff with illnesses to stay at home

It is imperative to our business and the wellbeing of our team and customers, that any staff member that is not feeling well must stay at home to self-isolate, even if they do not think it’s Coronavirus. We encourage staff to work from home if they can and make it as easy as possible to stay connected through VOIP and VPN connections for example.

We are all in this together, so it is important not to panic. Communication is key – speak to your suppliers, speak to your customers, your employees and to us! Be kind, be considerate and we will work together to help each other through this unprecedented crisis.
